The protection of Bosawas’ Biosphere Reserve, known as the “Heart of the Mesoamerican Biological Racer”, was the special theme promoted by the Nicaraguan Activists for Peace, in the celebration of March 3rd; with the participation of diverse ecological organizations, they were able to promote the guard of Bosawas, which is an area recognized for its rich biodiversity and numerous species that are poorly recognized, in this reserve there are the last populations of numerous species, such as: the giant anteater, the “tapir de Biard”, the Central American spider monkey, the jaguar, the harpy eagle and the American crocodile.

La protección de la Reserva de la Biósfera de Bosawas, conocida como el “Corazón del Corredor Biológico Mesoamericano”, fue un tema especial promovido por los Activistas por la Paz de Nicaragua, en la celebración del 3 de marzo; con la participación de diversas organizaciones ecologistas, promovieron el resguardo de Bosawas, área reconocida por su rica biodiversidad y numerosas especies poco frecuentes, donde se encuentran actualmente las últimas poblaciones centroamericanas de especies como: el oso hormiguero gigante, el tapir de Baird, el mono araña centroamericano, el jaguar, el águila arpía y el cocodrilo americano.
