In 2005, base metals were produced exclusively from the Flin Flon Domain in the east-central part of the province. They were mined from the Konuto Lake deposit and that part of the Callinan deposit located in Saskatchewan.

Le gisement Callinan comporte trois zones (South, East et North) plongeant vers l’Est et reposant dans une séquence de roches rhyolitiques qui sont probablement semblables à la rhyolite encaissante de la mine Flin Flon.
