Unlike all used to illuminateBacklight devices or plants LED lighting device - it is not light, and solid state semiconductor device which has no fragile glass bulb filled with gas unsafe, and unreliable filament moving elements. Radiation in the LED is generated by passing electric current through a special artificial crystal. The main energy is consumed at the same time to create a luminous flux, the process takes place without generating heat - a very important advantage that allows to create the perfect lighting for aquarium plants suffering from overheating.
