Apart from being a spot of wonderful nature in the city, at the slope of the Purple Mountain there are a lot of interesting places, such as the burial vault of the first Emperor of the Ming dynasty, the first and the biggest observatory in China, the Mausoleum of Sun Yat-sen, the Linggu pagoda.
