A diesel engine according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a cylinder head of the diesel engine; a cylinder head cover facing the edges of the cylinder head and having a sloping part going away from the cylinder head towards the inside; and a sealing member facing the sloping part and interposed between the cylinder head and the cylinder head cover so as to seal them.
