Disclosed is a map display device provided with a display monitor, a map display control means for displaying on the screen monitor a map on which an icon is displayed and scrolling the map according to a scroll instruction, an icon detection means for detecting the icon present in a predetermined region outside a display screen of the display monitor, and a mark display control means for displaying a mark indicating a direction in which the map is scrolled in order to display the icon detected by the icon detection means.

La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'affichage de carte comprenant : un moniteur d'affichage ; des moyens de commande d'affichage de carte qui sont adaptés pour afficher sur le moniteur d'affichage une carte sur laquelle une icône est affichée et pour faire défiler la carte conformément à une instruction de défilement ; des moyens de détection d'icône qui sont adaptés pour détecter l'icône présente dans une zone prédéterminée à l'extérieur d'un écran d'affichage du moniteur d'affichage ; et des moyens de commande d'affichage de repère qui sont adaptés pour afficher un repère indiquant une direction dans laquelle la carte défile afin d'afficher l'icône détectée par les moyens de détection d'icône.

本発明による地図表示装置は、表示モニタと、アイコンが表示された地図を表示モニタに表示させ、スクロール指示に応じて、該地図をスクロールさせる地図表示制御手段と、表示モニタの表示画面外の所定領域に存在するアイコンを検出するアイコン検出手段と、アイコン検出手段によって検出されたアイコンを表示させるために地図をスクロールさせる方向を示す目印を表示させる目印表示制御手段とを備える。
