يشير إلى الأحكام الواردة في الفقرة 3 من الفرع العاشر من قرار الجمعية العامة 55/258 المؤرخ 14 حزيران/يونيه 2001 بشأن إدارة الموارد البشرية، والتي كررت فيها الجمعية طلبها إلى الأمين العام بأن يضاعف جهوده الرامية إلى تحسين تشكيل الأمانة العامة عن طريق كفالة توزيع جغرافي واسع وعادل للموظفين في الإدارات كافة، ويشير أيضاً إلى الطلب الذي يدعو الأمين العام إلى تقديم مقترحات إلى الجمعية العامة بشأن إجراء إعادة نظر شاملة في نظام النطاقات المستصوبة، بغية استحداث وسيلة أكثر فعالية لكفالة التوزيع الجغرافي العادل فيما يتعلق بالعدد الإجمالي لموظفي الأمانة العامة؛

Recalls the provisions contained in section X, paragraph 3, of General Assembly resolution 55/258 of 14 June 2001, on human resources management, in which the Assembly reiterated its request to the Secretary-General to increase further his efforts to improve the composition of the Secretariat by ensuring a wide and equitable geographical distribution of staff in each and every department, and also recalls the request that he submit to the Assembly proposals for a comprehensive review of the system of desirable ranges with a view to establishing a more effective tool to ensure equitable geographical distribution in relation to the total number of staff of the Secretariat;

Recuerda las disposiciones de la sección X, párrafo 3, de la resolución 55/258 de la Asamblea General, de 14 de junio de 2001, sobre la gestión de los recursos humanos, en la que la Asamblea reiteró su petición al Secretario General de que siguiera intensificando sus esfuerzos por mejorar la composición de la Secretaría garantizando una distribución geográfica amplia y equitativa del personal en todos y cada uno de los departamentos, y recuerda también la petición de que presente a la Asamblea propuestas para una revisión general del sistema de límites convenientes con miras a establecer un mecanismo más eficaz que asegure una distribución geográfica equitativa en relación con el total del personal de la Secretaría;

Rappelle les dispositions du paragraphe 3 de la section X de la résolution 55/258 de l’Assemblée générale, en date du 14 juin 2001, relative à la gestion des ressources humaines, par lesquelles l’Assemblée a prié de nouveau le Secrétaire général de redoubler d’efforts pour améliorer la composition du Secrétariat en faisant en sorte que la répartition géographique du personnel soit large et équitable dans tous les départements, et rappelle aussi que le Secrétaire général a été prié de soumettre à l’Assemblée générale des propositions en vue d’un examen d’ensemble du système des fourchettes souhaitables, le but étant de mettre au point un outil plus efficace de nature à garantir une répartition géographique équitable eu égard à l’effectif total du Secrétariat;

ссылается на положения пункта 3 раздела Х резолюции 55/258 Генеральной Ассамблеи от 14 июня 2001 года об управлении людскими ресурсами, в котором Ассамблея вновь обратилась к Генеральному секретарю с просьбой еще более активизировать его усилия по совершенствованию состава Секретариата путем обеспечения широкого и справедливого географического распределения персонала во всех департаментах, и ссылается также на просьбу о том, чтобы он представил Ассамблее предложения по проведению всеобъемлющего обзора системы желательных квот с целью создания более эффективного механизма обеспечения справедливого географического распределения в пределах общей численности персонала Секретариата;
