Παναγιώτατε, αγαπητέ αδελφέ Βαρθολομαίε , πολλές φορές, ως αρχιεπίσκοπος του Μπουένος Αιρες, συμμετείχα στη θεία Λείτουργια τον ορθοδόξων κοινοτήτων εκείνης της πόλης, αλλά ευρισκόμενος σήμερα σε αυτήν την Πατριαρχική Εκκλησία του Αγίου Γεωργίου επι τη εορτή του αγίου Αποστόλου Ανδρέα του Προτοκλήτου και αδελφού του αγίου Πέτρου, προστάτου του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου, ειναι πράγματι μιά ιδιαίτερη χάρη που ο Κύριος με αξίωσε.

When I was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, I often took part in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy of the Orthodox communities there. Today, the Lord has given me the singular grace to be present in this Patriarchal Church of Saint George for the celebration of the Feast of the holy Apostle Andrew, the first-called, the brother of Saint Peter, and the Patron Saint of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Como arzobispo de Buenos Aires, he participado muchas veces en la Divina Liturgia de las comunidades ortodoxas de aquella ciudad; pero encontrarme hoy en esta Iglesia Patriarcal de San Jorge para la celebración del santo Apóstol Andrés, el primero de los llamados, Patrón del Patriarcado Ecuménico y hermano de san Pedro, es realmente una gracia singular que el Señor me concede.
