ABSTRACT This paper makes a comparative and critical analysis of the main theories of economic growth both exogenous and endogenous, from the Harrod-Domar model to the Romer model, with the aim of establishing the importance of growth models assigned to the policy sustaining economic growth over the long term.

RESUMEN Este documento realiza un análisis comparativo y crítico de las principales teorías del crecimiento económico tanto exógeno como endógeno, a partir del modelo de Harrod-Domar hasta el modelo de Romer, con el fin de establecer la importancia que los modelos de crecimiento asignan a la política económica en el sostenimiento del crecimiento a largo plazo.
