وقد صدر تقرير عن المشروع من جانب اللجنة الاستشارية لحماية البحار في إطار مشروع متوسط الحجم لمرفق البيئة العالمية بعنوان "العملية الأفريقية لتطوير وحماية البيئة البحرية والساحلية في أفريقيا جنوب الصحراء" (العملية الأفريقية) والشراكة الجديدة من أجل التنمية في أفريقيا، وحدد التقرير مصادر التدهور والنقاط الساخنة واقترح برامج وأعمال للتصدي لهذه المشاكل

A report of the project, by the Advisory Committee on Protection of the Seas (ACOPS) within the framework of the GEF medium-sized project entitled “The African Process for the Development and Protection of the Marine and Coastal Environment in sub-Saharan Africa” (the African Process) and NEPAD, identified sources of degradation and hot spots and proposed programmes and action to address these problems
