In order to enhance understanding and cooperation between the border defence forces of the two sides, each side may invite the other side for joint celebrations on major national or military days or festivals and organize cultural activities, non-contact sports events and small scale tactical exercises along the line of actual control in the India-China border areas.

दोनों पक्षों के सीमा रक्षा बलों के बीच सहमति एवं सहयोग में वृद्धि के उद्देश्य से प्रत्येक पक्ष प्रमुख राष्ट्रीय या सैन्य दिवसों या त्यौहारों को संयुक्त रूप से मनाने के लिए दूसरे पक्ष को आमंत्रित कर सकता है तथा भारत - चीन सीमा क्षेत्र में वास्तविक नियंत्रण रेखा पर सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों, संपर्क रहित खेल कार्यक्रमों तथा छोटे पैमाने पर सैन्य अभ्यास का आयोजन कर सकता है।
