Definice významných krajinných prvků je však problematická vzhledem k provázanosti s jinými právními předpisy (např. vodní zákon, lesní zákon) a použití tohoto nástroje vyžaduje odborné znalosti, zejména ve vztahu k posouzení statusu významného krajinného prvku a dopadu záměrů na jeho funkce.

The definition of significant landscape elements is however problematic due to the linkage to other legislation (eg Water Act, Forest Act), and the use of the tool requires expertise especially in relation to the assessment of significant landscape element status and the impact of intentions on its functions.
