This meeting was preceded by an Arab ministerial coordination meeting, chaired by HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal and attended by the Secretary-General, which reviewed the Arab position after Annapolis, in the light of the faltering Palestinian-Israeli negotiations and Israel’s continued construction and expansion of settlements and building of the wall, in addition to the continuing blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and West Bank.

Dicha reunión fue precedida por una reunión ministerial árabe de coordinación, presidida por Su Alteza Real el Príncipe Saud Al-Faisal y que contó con la participación del Secretario General, en la que se examinó la posición árabe después de la Conferencia de Anápolis, en vista de las titubeantes negociaciones entre palestinos e israelíes, y de la construcción y expansión constantes de asentamientos y la construcción del muro por parte de Israel, además del continuo bloqueo impuesto en la Franja de Gaza y la Ribera Occidental.

Cette réunion a été précédée par une réunion ministérielle de coordination arabe, présidée par S. A. R. le Prince Saud Al-Faisal et à laquelle a participé le Secrétaire général, qui a examiné la position arabe après Annapolis, à la lumière de l’hésitation caractérisant les négociations israélo-palestiniennes et de la poursuite par Israël de la construction et de l’expansion des colonies et de l’édification du mur, ainsi que la persistance du blocus imposé sur la bande de Gaza et la Cisjordanie.
