Abstract: 12-O-Benzoyl-6,7,14,15-tetradehydroleukotriene B4 methyl ester 1, the direct precursor of isotopically labeled LTB4's, has been prepared. This synthesis was accomplished by the assembly of two key chirons: α-hydroxyaldehyde of R configuration, 2, and propargylic alcohol of S configuration, (S)-7.

Pour obtenir le leucotriène B4 radiomarqué par quatre atomes de tritium, la synthèse totale convergente d'un précurseur diacétylénique (ester méthylique du 12-O-benzoyl-6,7,14,15-tétradehydroleucotriène B41) a été réalisée à partir de deux synthons chiraux: α-hydroxyaldéhyde de configuration R2 et alcool propargylique de configuration S7.
