Así por ejemplo, a partir de la actividad de cortar troncos para aprovisionarse de leña surge el deporte de los aizkolaris o cortadores de troncos; a partir de la actividad de mover grandes rocas para la construcción surge el levantamiento de piedras (los deportistas dedicados a esta disciplina se conocen como harrijasotzailes) o el arrastre de piedras con bueyes (idi probak) etc.
