One of the men arrested in 1998 said that he had been subjected to psychological, but not to physical pressure; three said that they had been hit repeatedly; the others said that they had been hit, threatened and subjected to other forms of torture, such as the pouring of water into their noses or mouths, the placing of plastic bags (which in one case contained lime) over their heads, or mock executions.

L'un des hommes arrêtés en 1998 a dit avoir été soumis à des pressions psychologiques mais non pas physiques; trois d'entre eux ont dit avoir été régulièrement tabassés; les autres ont dit avoir été frappés, menacés et soumis à d'autres formes de torture, consistant par exemple à procéder à l'injection d'eau dans le nez ou la bouche, à placer la tête dans un sac de plastique (qui dans un des cas contenait de la chaux), ou à procéder à un simulacre d'exécution.
