The dropped cross bar (54) can be formed of a substantially straight or bent piece of tubing in which the cross bar is operatively connected to the front fork (30) of the bicycle through a handlebar stem (52) that clamps to the cross bar at about the height of the lower most portion of the bicycle head tube.

La barre transversale recourbée (54) peut être constituée par une pièce de tube essentiellement droite ou courbe, la barre transversale étant reliée fonctionnellement à la fourche avant (30) de la bicyclette par l'intermédiaire d'une broche de guidon (52) qui bloque par serrage la barre transversale à peu près au niveau de la hauteur de la partie la plus inférieure du tube de fourche de la bicyclette.
