· Promote co-operation, partnerships and networking with the scientific community in EU and non-EU countries, particularly developing countries, neighbours and key partners, and share research results, climate models and other methodological tools, especially in the context of the five-year work programme on adaptation under the UNFCCC. · Provide support to practitioners through guidance on existing scientific knowledge and adaptation measures, options and cost-benefit analysis of these options.

Les technologies modernes de l’information et de la communication (TIC) et leurs évolutions futures joueront un rôle clé dans ce processus d’adaptation, en apportant des réponses appropriées, souples et rapides aux exigences en matière d’adaptation (par exemple pour la surveillance des modifications de l’environnement, pour l’anticipation et l’évaluation des risques et pour la gestion des situations de crise).
