وشأننا شأن الأعضاء الآخرين في مجلس الأمن، نحن مقتنعون بأنه ما لم يشهد الوضع بشأن تلك المسائل تحسنا جذريا، فإن فكرة بناء مجتمع متعدد الأعراق في كوسوفو ستتعثر أكثر فأكثر، مما سيغذي الأوهام الضارة لدى قوى التطرف المتبقية في الإقليم.

Like other members of the Security Council, we are convinced that unless there is a radical improvement in the situation regarding those issues, the idea of building a multi-ethnic society in Kosovo will be further stalled, which will fuel unhealthy illusions among the remaining extremist forces in the province.

Como otros miembros del Consejo de Seguridad, estamos convencidos de que, a menos que exista una mejora radical en la situación a este respecto, se estancará aún más la idea de establecer una sociedad multiétnica en Kosovo, lo cual dará lugar a ilusiones muy poco sanas entre las fuerzas extremistas que persisten en la provincia.
