In the same year Lawrence Lambe assigned this genus to a new taxon that he erected, "eoceratopsinae", which included "Eoceratops" (now Chasmosaurus), "Diceratops" (now Nedoceratops) and Triceratops.

Brown en 1914 asigno a Anchiceratops a la Ceratopsia. En 1915, William Diller Matthew lo colocó en Ceratopsidae.
