Αν και δεν αποτελούσε μέρος του Βασιλείου της Ελλάδας, υπήρχε και μία άλλη Γερουσία, που ονομαζόταν (αρχικά) Γερουσία της Επτανήσου Πολιτείας (1800-1815) και (αργότερα) Γερουσία των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών των Ιονίων Νήσων (1815-1864), σύμφωνα με τα ρωσικά, γαλλικά και βρετανικά προτεκτοράτα.

Although not a part of the Kingdom of Greece, there was also an upper house called the Ionian Senate in the Septinsular Republic (1800-1815) and United States of the Ionian Islands (1815-1864), under Russian, French and British Protectorates.
