A rope climbing apparatus (15) comprising a frame (16), a seat (18) supported by the frame and adapted to move relative to the frame from a first position (19) to an elevated second position (20), a lower pulley assembly (21) connected to the seat, an upper pulley assembly (22) connected to the frame, a rope (23) extending between the lower pulley assembly and the upper pulley assembly and having a rope climbing portion (24) graspable by a user (25) when the user is seated on the seat, and the rope, the seat, the lower pulley assembly and the upper pulley assembly configured and arranged such that a downward force (26) on the rope climbing portion of the rope causes an upward force (28) on the seat.

L'invention concerne un appareil de remontée sur corde (15) comprenant un cadre (16), un siège (18) soutenu par le cadre et conçu pour se déplacer par rapport au cadre d'une première position (19) à une seconde position élevée (20), un ensemble poulie inférieure (21) relié au siège, un ensemble poulie supérieure (22) relié au cadre. L'appareil comprend également une corde (23) s'étendant entre l'ensemble poulie inférieur et l'ensemble poulie supérieur et présentant une partie de remontée de corde (24) pouvant être saisie par un utilisateur (25) lorsque l'utilisateur est assis sur le siège, la corde, le siège, l'ensemble poulie inférieur et l'ensemble poulie supérieur étant configurés et agencés de sorte qu'une force descendante (26) sur la partie de remontée de corde de la corde provoque une force ascendante (28) sur le siège.
