وكان الرأي المشترك بين الرؤساء التنفيذيين فيما يتعلق بالاحتياجات الداخلية الشاملة للمنظومة ووظائف دعمها للتنمية أن مجال التركيز الرئيسي لجهود التنسيق ينبغي ألا يتجه إلى تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات وحدها وأن يمتد إلى تنمية تبادل المعارف وثقافة التعليم وإلى بناء قدرات فعالة لاكتساب المعرفة ونشرها على نطاق المنظومة.

Cutting across the internal needs of the system and its development support functions, it was the shared view of Executive Heads that the main focus of the coordination effort should not be on ICT alone, and that it should extend to developing a knowledge-sharing and learning culture, and on building effective knowledge acquisition and dissemination capacities throughout the system.

Considerando las necesidades internas del sistema y sus funciones de asistencia para el desarrollo, los jefes ejecutivos opinaban que la labor de coordinación no debería centrarse únicamente en la tecnología de la información y las comunicaciones sino que debería comprender la tarea de crear una actitud favorable al aprendizaje y el intercambio de conocimientos, así como una capacidad efectiva para la adquisición y difusión de conocimientos en todo el sistema.

Les chefs de secrétariat sont convenus, qu’au-delà des besoins intrinsèques du système et de ses fonctions de soutien au développement, les efforts de coordination ne devraient pas se limiter aux seules techniques de l’information mais plutôt être étendus à une culture d’échange de connaissances et d’apprentissage, et au renforcement des capacités d’acquisition et de diffusion efficaces des connaissances à l’échelle du système.

С учетом внутренних потребностей всей системы и ее функций по содействию развитию, административные руководители пришли к единому мнению, что усилия по координации должны быть направлены не только на ИКТ, но и на формирование культуры обмена знаниями и опытом и культуры познания, а также на создание во всей системе потенциала в области приобретения и распространения знаний.
