Finally, in the past twelve months or so, we have revitalized our social media, in particular becoming a lot more active on Twitter and starting an Instagram. This shares information with people who otherwise wouldn’t be aware of it. People may miss emails or not have a valid email address for the union to contact. But if they are interested, they can check Twitter and know what is going on. Instagram also allows the sharing of more long form information, as well as images from strike days and rallies that make us feel part of something bigger.
