ترحب بالتقدم المحرز في التحضير للانتخابات، ولا سيما قيام اللجنة الانتخابية الوطنية المستقلة بتنفيذ الإطار القانوني والتنفيذي، بما في ذلك إنشاء لجان انتخابات إقليمية ومحلية، وتعبئة الحكومة وشركاءها الوطنيين والدوليين، و تكرر التأكيد على أهمية إجراء انتخابات حرة ونزيهة وشفافة لدعم توطيد السلام في البلد؛

Welcomes progress made in the preparation of the elections, in particular the implementation of the legal and operational framework by the National Independent Electoral Commission, including the establishment of provincial and communal election commissions, the mobilization of the Government and its national and international partners and reiterates the importance of the holding of free, fair and transparent elections for further consolidating peace in the country;
