In spite of all misfortunes and invasions, disregarding the infinite princely strifes and the subsequent Tatar and Lithuanian raids, at the beginning of the XIVth century the area of almost entire basin of the Moscow River – from Mozhaisk in the West to Kolomna in the Southeast – has already belonged to the Moscow principality.
