Trotz bisher begrenzter Erfahrungen glauben wir, daß die endovaskuläre Ausschaltung in Kombination mit Antibiotikatherapie in geeigneten Fällen eine wirksame und risikoarme Alternative zur offenen Chirurgie bei der Behandlung mykotischer Aneurysmen darstellen könnte.

Although up to now experience is limited, we feel that in appropriate cases endovascular grafting in combination with antibiotic therapy might represent an effective low-risk alternative to conventional surgery for exclusion of mycotic aneurysms with the potential of restoration of normal vascular anatomy.
