During his residence, Stefaan Quix will be working on a prototype of a new audiovisual work inspired by the so-called ‘ultraviolet catastrophe’ which moved physicists in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to extend classical, Newtonian mechanics to quantum mechanics, thus laying the foundation of the more contemporary, fragmentary approach of time and sounds GALLERY

Tijdens zijn residentie werkt Stefaan Qui aan een prototype voor een nieuw audiovisueel werk geinspireerd door de zogenaamde “ultravioletcatastrofe” die eind 19de/begin 20ste eeuw de inspiratie bleek om de klassieke, Newtioniaanse mechanica uit te breiden naar de kwantummechanica en zo de basis legde voor de hedendaagse fragmentarische benadering van tijd en ruimte.
