“Frequenz-Syntheziser” (3) (frequency syntheziser): ungeachtet der im Einzelfall benutzten Technik jede Art von Frequenzquelle, die an einem oder mehreren Ausgängen eine Vielfalt gleichzeitig oder abwechselnd vorhandener Ausgangsfrequenzen liefert, die durch eine kleinere Anzahl von Normal- oder Steuerfrequenzen geregelt, von ihr abgeleitet oder von ihr gesteuert sind.

"Frequency mask trigger" (3) for "signal analysers" is a mechanism where the trigger function is able to select a frequency range to be triggered on as a subset of the acquisition bandwidth while ignoring other signals that may also be present within the same acquisition bandwidth. A "frequency mask trigger" may contain more than one independent set of limits.
