The present invention relates to a method for preparing a transition metal complex for the preparation of an olefin copolymer and, more specifically, to a method for preparing a transition metal complex comprising: a transition metal of Group 4 in the periodic table; a cyclopentadienyl ligand; and at least one phenolic ligand capable of being purified by sublimation or a simple filter, wherein a halogen, in particular chlorine, is not contained in the preparation of the transition metal complex.

Cette invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un complexe de métal de transition pour la préparation d'un copolymère d'oléfine, et plus spécifiquement, un procédé de préparation d'un complexe de métal de transition comprenant : un métal de transition du Groupe 4 du Tableau périodique ; un ligand cyclopentadiényle ; et au moins un ligand phénolique capable d'être purifié par sublimation ou par un filtre simple, aucun halogène, en particulier atome de chlore, n'étant contenu dans la préparation du complexe de métal de transition.
