The present invention provides a sensing device and a sensing method used for a virtual golf simulation device, wherein: even though an inexpensive camera with relatively low resolution and low speed is used, an obtained image is analyzed such that physical characteristic information, such as speed, direction, and a height angle or the like of a moving ball, is extracted in a relatively exact manner; and particularly, since the motion trajectory of a golf club is calculated in a relatively exact manner through said obtained image, ball spin is estimated in a relatively accurate manner and the estimated result is reflected in golf simulation, thereby forming a virtual golf simulation device with high accuracy and high reliability at a low cost, and further, the reality of virtual golf is further improved.

본 발명은 비교적 낮은해상도와 속도를 갖는 저렴한 카메라를 이용함에도 불구하고 그 취득한 이미지를 분석함으로써 운동하는 볼의 속도, 방향 및 높이각 등의 물리적 특성 정보를 비교적 정확하게 추출할 수 있고,특히 그 취득한 이미지를 통해 골프 클럽의 운동 궤적을 비교적 정확하게 산출하여 그로부터 볼의 스핀을 비교적 정확하게 추정하여 골프 시뮬레이션에 반영하도록 함으로써 저렴한 비용으로 높은 정확도와 신뢰성올 갖는 가상 골프시물레이션 장치를 구성할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 가상 골프의 리얼리티를 더욱 향상시키도록 할 수 있는 가상 골프 시뮬레이션 장치에 이용되는 센싱 장치 및 센싱방법을 제공하기 위한 것이다.
