• The Supervisor may be a judge appointed pursuant to the Provincial Court Act, but must not be a member of the Legislative Assembly or of the Parliament of Canada; a person not eligible to vote under the Elections Act; an official agent, a chief agent or an electoral district agent; or an official representative or a deputy official representative; and he or she must not hold any public office other than office as Supervisor without prior approval by the Legislative Assembly.
