HCoV-229E এ সংক্রামিত রোগীদের মধ্যে মাথা যন্ত্রণা, হাঁচি, অসুস্থতা বোধ করা ও গলা ব্যথা সমেত সাধারণ ঠান্ডা লাগার উপসর্গগুলি দেখা গিয়েছিল, আর 10~20% ক্ষেত্রে জ্বর ও কাশি দেখা গিয়েছিল।
