【解決手段】保護カバー10が非磁性体の鋼板からプレス加工によりカップ状に形成され、外方部材2に圧入される円筒状の嵌合部10aと、これから縮径部10bを介して径方向内方に延び、センサSが近接される円板状の遮蔽部10cと、内方部材1のインナー側の端部を塞ぐ底部10eとを備え、縮径部10bと遮蔽部10cとの間に遮蔽部10cと平行に平坦な逃げ部16が設けられ、遮蔽部10cに対して縮径部10b側に僅かに凹んで形成されると共に、縮径部10bの外周部に加硫接着によって凸部15aを備えた弾性部材15が一体に接合され、この凸部15aが外方部材2に所定のシメシロを介して圧入されている。
