ويرى وفدي من الواضح أيضا أن وجها آخر قويا وفعالا للإرهاب يتمثل في منظومة الأكاذيب والتلاعب المستمرة من جانب وسائط الإعلام الوطنية والدولية في خدمة الاستعمار، ساعية إلى إخفاء الحقيقة عن الشعوب التي تناضل من أجل تقرير المصير وصنع مصيرها في عالم جديد.

My delegation also believes that another powerful and effective aspect of terrorism is clearly the ongoing system of lies and manipulation on the part of the national and international media at the service of imperialism, seeking to conceal the truth from peoples who are fighting for self-determination and to forge their destiny in a new world.

Igualmente, a juicio de nuestra delegación, constituye también un componente poderoso, eficaz y no desdeñable del terrorismo el sistema cotidiano de mentiras, tergiversaciones y manipulaciones promovidas y difundidas por las empresas de comunicación nacional e internacional al servicio del imperialismo que ocultan, tergiversan e impiden apreciar las verdades sobre los pueblos que en ejercicio de la autodeterminación están construyendo su destino, haciendo otro mundo posible.

De même, notre délégation estime qu’une composante puissante, efficace et non négligeable du terrorisme est à trouver dans le parti pris systématique de mensonge, d’interprétation tendancieuse et de manipulation des sociétés de communication nationales et internationales au service de l’impérialisme, qui dissimulent, déforment ou empêchent d’apprécier la vérité sur les peuples qui, dans l’exercice de l’autodétermination, construisent leur avenir, et cherchent à rendre un autre monde possible.
