وفيما يتعلق بالتمييز على أساس الرأي السياسي والمنشأ الاجتماعي، وجهت لجنة الخبراء التابعة لمنظمة العمل الدولية مجدداً نداءها إلى كندا في عام 2011 لتعدل القانون الكندي لحقوق الإنسان وتشريع المقاطعات والأقاليم المعنية كي ينص كلاهما على حظر التمييز على أساس المنشأ الاجتماعي أو "الوضع الاجتماعي" والرأي السياسي في الاستخدام والمهنة، وتقديم معلومات عن الخطوات الملموسة المتخذة في هذا المضمار(67).

With regard to discrimination on the grounds of political opinion and social origin, in 2011, the ILO Committee of Experts reiterated its call to Canada to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act (CHRA) and the legislation of relevant provinces and territories to include social origin or “social condition” and political opinion as prohibited grounds of discrimination in employment and occupation, and to provide information on the concrete steps taken in this regard.
