Of the protected species in the wetlands there are the following ones nesting: 10 pairs of black storks, 5 pairs of saker falcons, 40 pairs of egrets and about 100 pairs of wild goose and hundreds of Ferruginous ducks, which one of the most endangered species in Europe.
