فالأقضية التي تتواجد فيها أعلى نسبة من القرى المحتلة (جزين، ومرجعيون، وحاصبيا، وبنت جبيل) تتميز بنسبة عالية من المسنين يمكن إعادتها إلى هجرة الشباب بسبب الأوضاع الخاصة في المنطقة، أو للهرب من التجنيد الإلزامي في صفوف الميليشيات المتعاونة مع إسرائيل، بالإضافة إلى ضيق فرص العمل

Accordingly, the districts containing the highest number of occupied villages (Jazzin, Marjayoun, Hasbayya and Bint Jubayl) also contain a high proportion of aged persons, which can be attributed to the exodus of young persons, who leave because of the particular situation in the area or to avoid being conscripted into the militias cooperating with Israel, not to mention the lack of employment opportunities
