Police officers other than those referred to in the preceding paragraph and special constables cannot, on pain of disciplinary action, be candidates in school or municipal elections, or engage in partisan activity for or against a candidate in such an election or for or against a political party, within the area where they habitually exercise their functions.

Les policiers autres que ceux visés à l’alinéa précédent ainsi que les constables spéciaux, ne peuvent, sous peine de mesures disciplinaires, se porter candidats à des élections municipales ou scolaires, ni se livrer à des activités de nature partisane à l’égard d’un candidat à une telle élection ou d’un parti politique, à l’intérieur du territoire où ils exercent habituellement leurs fonctions.
