Section 16 - Authorities for Dispositions, Acquisitions and Administrative Transfers Subsection 1 - Powers of Governor in Council (f) - Transfers of Administration and Control from Other Governments (f) accept, on behalf of Her Majesty, the transfer of administration and control of real property from Her Majesty in any right other than Canada, including any such transfer made by grant, vesting order or other conveyancing instrument; Notes This paragraph provides the statutory authority for the federal government to accept transfers of administration and control of provincial Crown property, which had prior to the FRPA been accepted through the Royal Prerogative.

Article 16 - Pouvoirs relatifs aux aliénations, aux acquisitions et aux transferts d'attributions administratives Paragraphe 1 - Pouvoirs du gouverneur en conseil f) - Transferts de la gestion et de la maîtrise par d'autres gouvernements f) accepter, au nom de Sa Majesté du chef du Canada, le transfert - notamment par voie de concession, de dévolution ou de tout autre acte de cession - de la gestion et de la maîtrise d'un immeuble par Sa Majesté de tout autre chef; Observations Cet alinéa confère au gouvernement fédéral le pouvoir légal d'accepter les transferts de la gestion et de la maîtrise d'immeubles appartenant à des provinces, pouvoir d'acceptation qui reposait avant l'adoption de la LIF sur la prérogative royale.
