A portable terminal for satellite communication is provided with an information inputting means which inputs the position and time of the portable terminal, a satellite orbit calculating function which calculates the position of a revolving satellite from the time inputted by the information inputting means, a satellite position calculating function which calculates the position of the revolving satellite at an elevation larger than a prescribed value, based on the position of the portable terminal inputted by the information inputting means and the position of the satellite calculated by the satellite orbit calculating means, and a satellite position displaying means which displays the calculated position of the satellite.

L'invention concerne un terminal portatif de communication par satellite doté d'un dispositif d'entrée de données qui permet d'entrer la position et le temps du terminal portatif; d'une fonction de calcul d'orbite de satellite qui calcule la position d'un satellite rotatif à partir du temps entré par le dispositif d'entrée de données; d'une fonction de calcul de position de satellite qui calcule la position du satellite rotatif à une hauteur supérieure à une valeur prévue, sur la base de la position du terminal portatif entrée par le dispositif d'entrée de données et de la position du satellite calculée par le dispositif de calcul d'orbite de satellite; et d'un dispositif d'affichage de position de satellite qui affiche la position calculée du satellite.
