For instance, Bengali novel is translated into Nepali, Nepali poem into Hindi, Hindi play into Maithili, Maithili epic into Newari (a Tibeto-Burman language spoken mostly in the Valley of Kathmandu) and Newari writings into Nepali, etc. So the mode of analysis requires one to go into areas like genre-wise, language-wise, unidirectional, bidirectional, multidirectional analysis, its age-wise revisit, its present day picture, one's influence upon other etc. I would like to draw some illustrations of translation activities carried out between the languages of Nepal and India, however, this will present only a glimpse of the situation.

अनुवादका सिद्धान्तपट्टि फर्केर हेर्दा यसका अनेक रूप र भेद उपलब्ध छन् । यस काममा अनुवादशास्त्रीहरू लागिपरेका छन् भने यतिखेरको हाम्रो आवश्यकता चाहिा साहित्यिक अनुवादलाई नै अघि बढाउनु रहेको छ । हाम्रा साहित्यिक कर्मलाई विश्वतिर चिनाउने व्यक्ति र संस्थालाई प्रोत्साहित गर्नुपरेको छ । भारतीय साहित्यमा पनि त्यहााका नेपाली लगायतका विशेष भाषालाई प्रत्येक २ वर्षमा एउटा अनुवाद पुरस्कार प्राप्त हुन्छ । नेपालका सम्पूर्ण संस्थाहरू यसतिर उदासीन भएकाले गर्दा अनुवादको महत्त्व बुझ्न, बुझाउन सकिएको छैन । यसमा आवश्यक पर्ने शिल्प, लगानी र त्यागबारे बुझिएको छैन ।
