By fostering and exercising a tender and strong concern for every child that comes into this world, the Church fulfills a fundamental mission: for she is called upon to reveal and put forward anew in history the example and the commandment of Christ the Lord, who placed the child at the heart of the Kingdom of God: "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."[ 75]

Procurando y teniendo un cuidado tierno y profundo para cada niño que viene a este mundo, la Iglesia cumple una misión fundamental. Troszcząc się o każde dziecko przychodzące na świat i otaczając je czułą i rzetelną opieką, Kościół wypełnia swoje podstawowe posłannictwo; powołany jest bowiem do objawiania i przedstawiania na nowo w dziejach przykładu i przykazania Chrystusa Pana, który postawił dziecko w samym centrum Królestwa Bożego, mówiąc: „Dopuśćcie dzieci i nie przeszkadzajcie im przyjść do Mnie; do takich bowiem należy królestwo niebieskie”75.

Solicitando e vivendo um cuidado terno e forte por cada criança que vem a este mundo, a Igreja cumpre uma sua missão fundamental: revelar e repetir na história o exemplo e o mandamento de Cristo, que quis pôr a criança em destaque no Reino de Deus: «Deixai vir a Mim os pequeninos e não os impeçais pois deles é o reino de Deus»(75).
