General chapters and synaxes should explore ways is which members who are called "conversi," "cooperatores," or by any other such name, may gradually obtain an active vote in specified community actions and elections and also a passive vote in the case of certain offices. Thus indeed it will come about that they are closely joined with the life and works of the community and the priests will be freer to devote themselves to their own ministry.

I Capitoli generali e le Sinassi cercheranno il modo in forza del quale i membri chiamati conversi, cooperatori, o con altro nome, possano ottenere per gradi il diritto di voto attivo in determinati atti della comunità e nelle elezioni e anche di voto passivo per certi incarichi; in questo modo avverrà veramente che essi siano più strettamente uniti alla vita e alle attività della comunità e che i sacerdoti possano dedicarsi più liberamente ai propri ministeri.
