The National Oceanography Centre, Southampton (NOCS) is located in Southampton Docks three miles south of the main university campus. The campus is home of the university's Ocean and Earth Sciences department and is also a campus of the Natural Environment Research Council's research institute, the National Oceanography Centre. Five of the National Oceanography Centre's research divisions are based on the campus.

ศูนย์สมุทรศาสตร์แห่งชาติ ณ เมืองเซาท์แฮมป์ตัน (National Oceanography Centre, Southampton; NOCS) เป็นพื้นที่ทําการสอนและวิจัยส่วนหนึ่งของมหาวิทยาลัย ตั้งอยู่ที่ท่าเรือเซาท์แฮมป์ตัน ห่างจากวิทยาเขตไฮฟิลด์ราว 5 กิโลเมตร ภายในศูนย์ฯ มีภาควิชาวิทยาศาสตร์โลกและทางทะเล รวมถึงศูนย์วิจัยของสภาวิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์ธรรมชาติ (Natural Environment Research Council) ด้วย Five of the National Oceanography Centre's research divisions are based on the campus. พื้นที่ศูนย์สมุทรศาสตร์เดิมทีเป็นพื้นที่ของท่าเรือ โดยได้เริ่มวางแผนงานราว พ.ศ. 2532 และก่อสร้างเสร็จเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2537 แม้จะประสบปัญหาการตัดงบประมาณเพราะความไม่แน่ใจว่าศูนย์วิจัยแห่งชาติกับมหาวิทยาลัยจะเข้ากันได้ดี
