وجعل النص الإنكليزي متسقاً مع النص الفرنسي بإضافة عبارة "of the effects of a disaster" إلى مصطلح "mitigation" سيؤدي إلى تعقيد لا داعي له في مشروع مادة مخصصة لمعالجة الأنشطة التي ينبغي اتخاذها في فترة ما قبل وقوع الكارثة.

To align the English with the French versions by adding in the former to the term “mitigation”, the qualifying phrase “of the effects of a disaster” would introduce unnecessary complexity into a draft article devoted to dealing with activities to be undertaken during the pre-disaster phase.
