The system for optimizing communication paths between mobile stations in a proxy mobile Internet protocol version 6 network, which optimizes the communication path for data transmission/reception between a transmitting side mobile station and a receiving side mobile station, comprises: a local mobility anchor (LMA) which searches for a proxy care-of address matching the home address of the receiving side mobile station; and at least two mobile access gateways (MAGs) which check the location information of the receiving side mobile station located in the searched proxy care-of address, and control the transmitting side mobile station and the receiving side mobile station, wherein the MAG in which the transmitting side mobile station is located initializes a data transmission path to the MAG in which the receiving side mobile station is located to form a tunnel between the two MAGs.

본 발명의 송신측 이동단말과 수신측 이동단말간에 데이터가 송수신되는 통신경로를 최적화하는 프록시 모바일 인터넷 프로토콜 버전6 망 내 이동단말간 통신경로 최적화 시스템은 상기 수신측 이동단말의 홈 주소에 매칭되는 프록시 케어오브 주소를 검색하는 LMA(Local Mobility Anchor)와; 상기 검색된 프록시 케어오브 주소에 위치하는 상기 수신측 이동단말의 위치정보를 확인하고, 상기 송신측 이동단말과 수신측 이동단말을 관할하는 적어도 두 개의 MAG(Mobile Access Gateway);를 포함하되, 상기 송신측 이동단말이 위치하는 MAG가 상시 수신측 이동단말이 위치하는 MAG에 데이터 전송경로를 초기화하여 MAG간에 터널을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
