Patienten und Methode: In zwei monoinstitutionellen, nichtrandomisierten, prospektiven Follow-up-Studien wurden die Ansprechrate und Remissionsdauer der Bestrahlung von Patienten mit schmerzhaften Knochenmetastasen verschiedenen Ursprungs untersucht, welche ausschließlich außerhalb der Wirbelsäule lagen und nicht frakturgefährdet waren.

Patients and Methods: Two consecutive non-randomized prospective follow-up studies were performed at a single institution to analyze pain response and duration of response in patients with a variety of primary tumors. Included were only patients with symptomatic nonvertebral bone metastases and without impending pathologic fracture.
