يقدر الجهود الموفقة التي بذلها الأمين العام لمنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي والمدير العام للإيسيسكو ورئيس المؤتمر الإسلامي الأول لوزراء البيئة من أجل تفعيل جهود الدول الأعضاء وتنسيق وتعزيز مشاركة العالم الإسلامي في مؤتمر القمة العالمي حول التنمية المستدامة بجوهانسبرج (26 آب/أغسطس – 4 أيلول/سبتمبر 2002) وبالتنسيق مع الأمانة العامة لمنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة لإدماج إعلان جدة والإطار العام لبرنامج العمل الإسلامي للتنمية المستدامة ضمن وثائق قمة جوهانسبرج (جنوب أفريقيا).

Appreciates the successful efforts made by the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Director General of ISESCO and the Chairman of the First Islamic Conference of Ministers of Environment to stimulate the efforts of Member States and to coordinate and enhance the participation of the Islamic World in the International Summit Conference on Sustainable Development (26 August 4 September 2002), in conjunction with the General Secretariat of the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), efforts which have enabled the inclusion of the Jeddah Declaration and the general framework of the Islamic Work Programme on Sustainable Development in the documents of the Johannesburg Summit.

Expresa su satisfacción por la fructífera labor realizada por el Secretario General de la OCI, el Director General de la ISESCO y el Presidente de la Primera Conferencia Islámica de Ministros encargados del Medio Ambiente, junto con las Secretarías Generales de la OCI y del PNUMA, para estimular los esfuerzos que despliegan los Estados miembros y aumentar la participación del mundo islámico en la Cumbre Mundial sobre el Desarrollo Sostenible (26 de agosto a 4 de septiembre de 2002), pues tan fructífera labor ha permitido la inclusión de la Declaración de Yeddah y del marco general del Programa de trabajo islámico sobre el Desarrollo Sostenible en los documentos de la Cumbre de Johannesburgo;

APPRECIE les efforts fructueux déployés par le Secrétaire général de l’OCI, le Directeur général de l’ISESCO et le Président de la première Conférence islamique des ministres de l’environnement en vue d’impulser les efforts des Etats membres, de coordonner et de renforcer la participation du monde islamique au sommet mondial du développement durable à Johannesburg (22 août-4 septembre 2002) et ce en coordination avec le Secrétariat général de l’OCI et le PNUE, efforts qui ont permis d’intégrer la déclaration de Djedda et le cadre général du plan d’action islamique pour le développement durable parmi les documents du sommet de Johannesburg (Afrique du Sud).
