In 2008, a coalition of Nigerian non-governmental organizations promoting the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, led by BAOBAB for Women’s Human Rights, prepared and submitted a report to the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women on 3 July 2008, for the Committee’s consideration during its review of the sixth periodic report of Nigeria.
